A surprisingly detailed and in-depth jigsaw game.
Most people do will not expect very much from a jigsaw game as most will expect a rather primitive or child-like game, but Jigsaws Galore has an unexpected (and dare one say unneeded) level of sophistication, which actually makes for a pleasant user experience.
Easy To Use
Jigsaws Galore is probably the best of its ilk and genre. It is a jigsaw puzzle game that has lot of features that are very easy to use. You can play the jigsaw puzzles that the game contains, or you can load your own images and the game will break it down into a jigsaw that you complete. You can create your own jigsaws and email them to your friends.
A Good Looking Game
The pieces you play with are very well rendered, and sit in piles and bunches in a similar way that they would if you had a real-life jigsaw in front of you. The pieces pile up on each other and overlap so that you have to move them around to see them properly. They also sit askew and facing in different directions in the same way they would if you were playing for real.
Change The Puzzle To Your Liking
You can customize the puzzles you make or load from the software, which means you can create puzzles that have four pieces or that have 64,000 pieces, which means the game can be altered to suit you. If a younger person is using it, then it can be customized for fewer pieces, but if an older person is using it or somebody that has a lot of time on his or her hands, then the puzzle may be broken into thousands of pieces.
There Are Features To Help You Cheat
You can play the game organically if you like and sort out your pieces into their own little piles, or you can cheat and have the software do it for you. For example, the software can arrange the pieces by their shape, or even their colour. This means that instead of going through the pieces and looking for corners and edges, you can have the software find them for you.
Because the software can arrange the pieces by colour, it will give you a head start on some of the puzzles, and you can use a ghost image on the back of the puzzle to help you cheat a little. You can use the “next piece” cheat, or the cheat that puts all the pieces the right way up, and if you are sick of playing, then you can use the “auto-solve” function too.
